Your Gift Keeps the Record Whole

The Society has been organized since 1927 and is still run by volunteers. What we hold — the papers, the photographs, the published record of this county — survives because people here decided it was worth keeping.

A donation goes to the Society’s general fund, where it is put to work where it is needed most: conservation supplies, research access, printing, and the programs that bring this history to people who live with it every day.

A gift is not a membership. Members receive the Magazine, the Guardian, and invitations to Society events — join the Society if you would like those in return.

What Your Donation Supports

The Collection

Deeds, letters, photographs, and family papers are catalogued, stored properly, and kept available to anyone researching the county.

The Publications

The Magazine has appeared since 1935 and the Guardian three times a year. Gifts underwrite the research, printing, and postage behind both.

The Programs

Talks, tours, and the annual summer gathering at a historic home are open to the community and carried by volunteers.
